Center Field Not Found

Apparently there’s a big Yahoo ad in center field at SBC Park in San Fran and right next to it is a 404 marker.  As a geek this made me laugh.  The rest of you can just shake your head and go about your day.

  1. *Ahem* I hate to harp on this, but in the interest of accuracy: You should just say SBC Park. Candlestick, which is a totally different stadium, is the one that soon to be renamed Monster Park. SBC Park isn’t going to change names to anything anytime soon.

  2. Glad you liked it. One thing, though: SBC Park is not Candlestick (soon to be Monster) Park. Totally different stadiums. The Giants and 49ers haven’t shared a house for a few years now.

  3. Wow, that’s the most obvious sports-related mistake I’ve made in quite some time (outside of awful opinion).  I think my geeky excitement got to me for a second, thanks for the correction smile

  4. You’re plenty correct to.  That bad edit was due to me trying to double-click the extra names away and not noticing I missed it all :oops:

    If I remember correctly,  SBC is SBC until 2021, I was just reading about it in an article related to Monster Cable’s bad naming rights move (I even own Monster Cables and didn’t think of them right off the bat).
