TMNT Back Again

There’s a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie coming out next year and it while it’s just a teaser, it looks pretty cool.

No more live action, they’ve gone the CGI, Pixar-like route, which is possibly what would have worked best all along. TMNT is being done by IMAGI.

I presume you’re hoping for a return to the original Eastman-Laird comic book series, from back in the day… No more “heroes on a half-shell, turtle power” claptrap!

Although, with the forthcoming Transformers movie, it’s sure feeling like a wave of 80s toy-marketing nostalgia…

I am hoping for that, and despite the moment of slapstick (which is alright on occasion), it looks like it has potential. I like the look, makes me wish they would have waited to do something like this all along.

The Transformers teaser doesn’t really do much for me. Maybe it’s the negative vibe on the web, but I’m worried about it.
